Hiren Patel wanted to reach the skies—literally. His dream was to be an aeronautical engineer, but as the IT boom took off, so did his love for tech.
One moment changed everything: the first time he touched a computer at school. Bulky monitor, floppy disk, but pure magic. He created his first email—hirenpatel2020it@yahoo.co.in (yep, still active!).
That moment sparked his tech obsession, and he never looked back.
The "Aha" Moment
Fast forward to 2022-2023, and we found ourselves working on several startup projects. Different ideas, same tech struggles.
The frustration? We were constantly building the same modules from scratch.
That’s when Modulis was born! A platform that offers startups pre-built modules so they can focus on what really matters—growing and innovating—without wasting time building the basics over and over.
The Evolution of Modulis
Initially, the concept behind Modulis was simple: We’ll handle all the backend setup for your product. The idea was to relieve startups of the technical burden by taking care of the foundational architecture.
However, as we began interacting with potential clients, we quickly realized something crucial: people weren’t comfortable handing over full control of their “brainchild.” Asking founders to relinquish such a significant part of their product didn’t sit well with them, as it felt like losing ownership of their creation.
As we stepped into the market and met more startup founders, we realized what they truly needed was support, not ownership. They wanted tools and resources to help them build their products quickly, efficiently, and at an affordable rate, without losing control of their vision.
That’s when we pivoted. Instead of offering to do everything for them, we built Modulis to empower startups with pre-built modules that speed up development while letting them retain full creative control.
The Struggles (and Wins)
Of course, the road wasn’t always smooth. Right before our beta launch, a massive bug almost derailed everything.
We thought, “Is this it? Are we done?” But no—our team pulled together, broke down the problem, and tackled it step by step.
Two weeks later, we launched—and guess what? It was a success.
Turns out, our users appreciated the extra attention to detail, and we delivered a better product because of it.
